A well-worn Fifty Ghana cedi note and a similarly distressed One Ghana cedi note arrived at the Central Bank (Bank of Ghana) to be retired. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burnt, they struck up a conversation.
The Fifty Ghana cedi reminisced about its travels all over the country.
"I've had a pretty good life," Fifty Ghana cedi proclaimed. "Why I've been to Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, Cape Coast, Koforidua and Takoradi, the finest restaurants in Osu Oxford Street, Labone, Ringroad Central and Tema, performances at International Conference Centre and Banquet Hall, hottest nite clubs all over the country and even a cruise on the Akosombo and Lake Bosomtwi."
"Wow" said the One Ghana Cedi. "You've really had an exciting life!"
"So tell me," says the fifty Ghana cedi, "where have you been throughout your lifetime?"
The One Ghana cedi replies, "Oh, I've been to the Apostolic & Methodist Church , the Redeemed Christian Church, the Deeper Life Bible Church , Baptist Church , Anglican church, Catholic church, the Charismatic Churches , CFC, the Lutheran Church, ......" The Fifty Ghana cedi note interrupts,
"What's a church?"
Please help the GHC50 notes go to church. Let us give generously and cheerfully to the Lord's work, and the Lord will do the same for us.
God bless u.
